A Judge Just Ordered Floyd Mayweather to Pay $113,000 to Manny Pacquiao

Wait, didn’t we just put up a post about Floyd Mayweather getting some bad news? It seems that’s not the only thing that’s got the champ down right now. In addition to the possible probation violation that he’s going to have to fight sometime in the near future, Money May was also just ordered to pay $113,000 to Manny Pacquiao.

Why, you ask? Well, because Pacman filed a defamation lawsuit against Mayweather last year after he told a bunch of journalists that Pacquiao uses performance-enhancing drugs. But, Mayweather never bothered to show up and give a deposition last year.

“Mayweather decided that he, not the court, would determine if and when his deposition would take place,” reads a motion filed by Pacquiao’s lawyers recently. “Busy living the ‘luxurious lifestyle non-stop,’ ‘pour[ing] champagne for [his] friends,’ and keeping the company of ‘attractive women,’ Mayweather refused to be deposed. He disobeyed properly served deposition notices, filed specious ‘emergency’ motions, and serially misrepresented his whereabouts to Pacquiao and this court. Exposing Mayweather’s untruths was a massive—and expensive—undertaking.”

As a result, a judge just threw the book at Mayweather and ordered him to pay Pacquiao $113K. We wonder which winning football bet Mayweather will use to pay it off.
