Dr. Dre Ranked By Forbes As 5th Highest Paid Celebrity

Dr. Dre’s successful line of headphones lands him at No. 5 on Forbe’s Highest Paid Celebrity list.

“You should listen to this beat through my headphones,” Dre suggested on his verse from Rick Ross’ “3 Kings.” Apparently enough people have heeded the advice, as Dre and Jimmy Iovine’s Beats By Dr. Dre headphone line picked up a $300 million check from HTC last August for a 51% stake in the company (which has since dropped to a 25.1$ stake after a buy back from Beats). This landed Dre at No. 5 on Forbes’ Highest Paid Celebrities List, trailing only Jerry Bruckheimer, Steven Spielberg, Michael Bay, and Oprah Winfrey, who landed at No. 1 overall.
