The only basketball jersey I currently own (and it was one gifted to me by a friend), is an Alex English Denver Nuggets road uniform that you can see below the jump, so these new Denver Nuggets alternate jerseys are obviously gold in our eyes. Yellow in our eyes, actually, in keeping with modern Nuggets tradition along with the Columbine blue that dots the Colorado flag and Denver’s road and home uniforms since 2003.

The new alternates, which will be utilized 18 times during the 2012-13 season, might be the best stylized amalgamation of old-school logo and current color scheme that we’ve seen; outside of perhaps the Philadelphia 76ers’ inverted take on that theory in their current go-to jerseys. Another reason why this year’s Denver Nuggets might alone be worth the price of NBA League Pass (for rich people).
